She has a home.

It lies on the shore.

Everyday, she stands at the beach.

She imagines what lives over there.

She swims, but she never goes far.

There seems to be nothing other than the vast sea.

The sea is rugged.

One day, she sees someone on a lone boat out at sea.

He sees her too.

Now, she knows something lives across that sea.

There must be.

She starts noticing him everyday.

She can't help it.

He sees her too.

Everyday, they see others on the beach.

One morning, as she walks to the beach,

He's already there.

He smiles at her.

She smiles back.

He walks over.

And they talk.

He's a gentleman.

She knows she's in trouble.

Her heart is about to run off with him.

She's in a daze.

She can feel the fear rise in her.

He tells her he lives on an island across from her.

She says she never knew for sure there was an island.

She sort of guessed but didn’t think there was,

Until she saw him on his boat, that first time.

He smiles, remembering.

She's just looking at him.

She sees words flying out of his mouth.

He sort of knows she's looking at him too hard.

He figures it must be because he looks so different from anyone around her.

He tells her he has to get going.

And asks her to join him.

Her heart says yes.

But her mind says no.

She sees goodbye in his eyes.

She watches every step that he takes.

Until she no longer see him.

He never looks back.

Each morning, she wakes up hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

But she doesn't see him.

Each night, she stands by her window.

And try to look out as far as she can.

She can't see the island he claims to be on.

But she sees it on maps.

So she knows he is real.

She can't get him out of her mind.

It feels like he's living beneath her skin.

He lives in her.

The other her asks her why she doesn't have the guts to get on the boat with him.

She can't answer it.

The rugged sea.

Fear controls her.

It paralyzes her.

My, how time flies! I feel like I barely have any time left for blogging or looking at clouds. I may have got a lot on at the moment, but I still remember you, my lovely blog readers! My calendar may be bursting at the seams, but I still plug social events into my calendar and stick to them.

On 21 April, Ralph and I attended an event for two highly anticipated Premier League matches: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City and Liverpool vs. Chelsea. Despite not being an avid fan of football, I was rather excited by the football frenzy at the Carlsberg viewing party.

#7 Thanks to Time Out KL for the buffet dinner + 2 buckets of Carlsberg pint bottles!

It was indeed a real treat for football and Carlsberg fans alike. Besides the food, beer, great company and loads of freebies, there was also football quizzes held throughout the night and a ‘Guess the Score and Win Contest’.

Best of all, fans of the English Premier League had an exclusive opportunity to get up close with football legends in person!

#10 Ralph took a few pictures with them, got their autographs and he couldn't be happier, hahaha.

Well, if I saw David Beckham, I think I would probably faint onto his shoes and miss the autograph session completely!

Whoa I can't believe it has been ages since I blogged *blows off dust* and I'll be getting the Moldiest Blog award, thanks to my blog buddies Panda and Mariuca, loll.

Ever since I came back from Tawau, I've been feeling lazy to blog. A mad scientist injected me with the lazy bug and it took me weeks to finally put myself in the 'jail of productivity' (I'm too lazy to even come up with a logical excuse). When I go for long stretches without posting, it's always difficult to know where to pick up.

Well, everything has been going well, I'm still alive and kicking. However, of course, there will always be things to do. There will always be challenges, because everything in life is changing from moment to moment.

It's funny, I spend most of my days at my computer, but all I want to do is to go outside and find an expansive space completely devoid of human presence right now.

I've been standing on the edge of the cliff I know I'll have to make myself jump, but I'm secretly hoping somebody will sneak up from behind and just push me off already. Sometimes I feel like I'm stranded in a pool of quicksand even in my own map of life. Sometimes I'll have thoughts about myself that even I can't fully comprehend.

I shifted my attention elsewhere and as fate would have it, my world turns up side down, in a good way. I've come to realize that sometimes distraction is necessary. I'm trying to reflect on all that has happened and as I sit here thinking of all the many thoughts running through my head, I wonder about the connections between people. Sometimes people, even complete strangers come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose. Nothing is just a coincidence.

*drown myself in music*

There are so many things I restrain myself from saying, as you never know who is reading. I think that maybe I should write an anonymous blog, loll.

Okay, I'm trying to catch up on all I've missed. It cannot take me longer than a decade, right? What is new in your world?

This will be my last post for a while because I'll be away for the next 17 days (going back to Tawau for Chinese New Year tomorrow evening!), so here's an entry with a million pictures for your viewing!

#1 From the tea plantation, we proceeded to Sun Moon Lake, which is situated over 750 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of central Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake is known for its emerald lakes and the natural beauty that surrounds it - all framed within a breathtaking backdrop of dramatic mountain landscapes that make this place picturesque.

However, the draw here is not just the lake. There are cable cars to ride (which we didn't go on as not enough time) to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village — a museum, village and amusement park rolled into one. If you arrive in early spring, you can even catch the cherry blossoms near this mirror-like lake.

The next thing we did was go on a boat ride. Our tour guide arranged everything, so I've no idea how much the tickets cost.

At the end of our meal, our tour guide came out with a birthday cake *SURPRISE!* and everyone sang "Happy Birthday to you..."

#41 It was truly an unforgettable day for my daddy because he found himself on vacation (a great birthday present to him from us) on his special day!

I want a birthday vacation too (are you reading this, Ralph? )!

After lunch, we strolled through the streets of Shuishe town.

I found the climate very agreeable as we could comfortably walk around and sight see without being cooked alive, but we really didn't get to see much of this place since we were only there for like 2 hours.

I still have tons of pictures, but I'll post them next time okay!

What an abrupt end, I know.

On an end note, I wish you prosperity and good fortune this Chinese New Year! May the year of snake brings peace and happiness to you and your loved ones.

I can't find the time to write posts in advance, so I know my blog will be nothing but "dead air" for a while. Don't abandon me okay, I'll be back LOLL.
