The day before yesterday, mybb was having Sarawak Laksa. Yesterday, as he was craving for Laksa, we suggested to give Laksa Shack Cafe a try. It is located at the ground floor of Jaya Shopping Centre, Seksyen 14.

variants of laksa from different states of Malaysia

we were able to see them preparing the food

We ordered 2 bowls of Sarawak Laksa (RM 9.90 each).

"soup is kinda diluted." mybb said.

Cendol (RM 5.90), my Ipoh white coffee (RM 3.90)

We noticed that we were the ONLY customers before we entered and before we left!

You (non-Malaysian) might be wondering what is Sarawak Laksa? Well, here is Wiki’s explanation about Sarawak Laksa:

Sarawak laksa (Malay: Laksa Sarawak) comes from the town of Kuching in the Malaysian state Sarawak, on the island of Borneo. It is actually very different from the curry laksa as the soup contains no curry in its ingredient at all. It has a base of Sambal belacan, sour tamarind, garlic, galangal, lemon grass and coconut milk, topped with omelette strips, chicken strips, prawns, fresh coriander and optionally lime. Ingredients such as bean sprouts, (sliced) fried tofu or other seafood are not traditional but is sometimes added.
