I've had a busy weekend, but a great one! We went shopping for Christmas, took a river cruise along Malacca River...after all, it was our 3rd dating anniversary!
Two weekends ago, Andrei & Katya invited us for a meal at their home. They had their first child here, in Malaysia and we couldn't wait to see baby Polina!
Polina is such a gorgeous baby!
She is trying really hard to crawl!
They prepared some delicious dishes cooked in an authentic style of Russian cuisine which Ralph and I were truly enjoyed!
There were also different types of beverages (red wine, white wine, juice, soft drinks and certainly including Russian Vodka) for us to drink and pronounce our toasts!
Soup is served as the first course.
Undoubtedly the most recognizable is Borsch, beetroot soup served with sour cream.
My glass of red wine, ONLY for toasting.
Main course - Russian cutlet (Russian style meatball) and mashed potatoes.
An after-dinner drink to round off the meal.
Assorted chocolate candies.
Oh I guess she likes the teddy bear that we bought for her, huh? I know, the teddy bear is too BIG and too heavy for her. LOL! You see, it is so fun to shop for babies. But, we're stumped and the real challenge for us is what to get for a newborn baby!!!
