JoannaBelle Ng, 21 from Kota Kinabalu, was crowned Miss Malaysia 2009 in Kuala Lumpur! First runner-up was model Cassandra Patrick, 24, and second-runner up was law student Claudia Tania Sibert, 24.
JoanneBelle Ng (C), Cassandra Patrick (L) and Claudia Tania Sibert (R).During the finale, Ng was asked if she would choose a rich and unfaithful husband or a poor but faithful husband.
Her answer was: "I believe when there's love, there's peace and happiness at home. So, I would pick the man who would only love me and stay true to me."
She also won the Miss Friendship, the audience favourite choice award at the pageant, RM50,000 and other sponsored prizes.
The 21-year-old beauty from Sabah will carry Malaysia's hopes at the upcoming Miss Universe 2009 pageant, which will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas on Aug 23. I can't wait to see her and other contestants in action!!
