Henry James once said that the words "summer afternoon" were "the two most beautiful words in the English language." I have heard about this a lot on how the sun makes people happy and how rainy days make people depressed. But, I get irritable and hostile when it is extremely hot! It has been very humid here and it is unbearable to stand outdoors. It's the humidity that makes me feel hungry, thirsty and lazy! Well, there is nothing that we can do about it. Due to the extreme temperatures amidst the hoopla, the rules of fashion were bent slightly in order to avoid heatstroke, meaning: as far as desert fashion is concerned, anything goes. There is no reason that we cannot beat the heat and still look great, right? I love wearing white nowadays. Admittedly, a fitted vintage cami and this James Perse shorts are hard to resist. They look casual, clean and also keep you cool. At least it won't allow you to stew in your own juices!
Oh, Cat Deely's embroidered romper is definitely hard to resist either!
Cute, flattering and unbelievably easy to wear, what's not to love? Pair with flat sandals and beat the heat in style!

The loss of a beloved pet is a heart-wrenching experience. Even though I do not have a pet (I've been afraid of cats & dogs all my life!), I understand why or how we can grieve for a pet, and the connection that can be held between a human and their companions.
The passing of anything we loved causes grief, and grief, takes time to heal, LJ. Snuggle your remaining moggies when you miss Mufasa!

*Disclaimer: My opinions are purely based on what I've viewed online.*
The final four was indeed as I expected!
For the opening for this week, the girls were given a chance to do PSA or Public Service Announcement at Fly Fm radio station. The girls did their best but some of the girls are really not cut for such talent. This is due to their language barrier and the pronunciation of certain words when they are put into 'English' version. The delivery for Pinky and Ming was not really up to the standard due to the pronunciation problems, less emotion and feel in their voices and tone. However, some really nailed it like Dawn, Juanita and Natasha. They do not have problem in terms of the language. Dawn was quite creative by bringing up some extra elements in the PSA. She had pretty creative wordings and all. Congrats Dawn for winning the challenge.
A few comments were delivered by Elaine Daly based on their Marie France photo shoot earlier on. Pinky had a pretty bad comment due to her expressions and poses. She was claimed to be slightly different from her usual photos. Something went wrong with her at the time of the photo shoot. I believe she was not happy due the comments given by Jimmy whereby she was not satisfied with the make-up artist and hair stylish. Anyway, that could be one of the reasons why she could not perform well that day. However, Dawn and Natasha received pretty good comments from Elaine Daly due to impressive photos. Finally, Natasha had managed to smile and made her photos a lot better than before. A little expression was shown in her photos. Well, sadly she had to bid goodbye. I guess it is too late to smile for her...
The final part of this week's activity was when the final four were taken to a Chevrolet Showroom for another photo shoot theme "My Perfect Match", where the girls portrayed as Brides that were dressed in Bridal gown, and the car is the bride's groom.
Come to think of it, this is more like Four Weddings and a Funeral, huh? The final four got their chances to wear bridal gown and yet Natasha was eliminated and missed the chance. Anyway, Juanita was trying her best with her expression skills but Elaine Daly was not really sure whether Juanita should smile or not. This is because if Juanita were to smile she looked 'awkward' but if she did not she looked 'confused'. Now, I am confused and awkward because I do not know what to do, if I were to be Juanita! No offence. Dawn got to wear a very funny looking bridal gown but she did her best. She is pretty cool, I would say. Elaine did say that Dawn, Juanita and Pinky have the chance to be in the Final Three. What about Ming? Well, somebody will be eliminated next week. Let us find out who that will be!

The whole day I was busy driving around (see my previous post) and I was pretty much eating non-stop!
Ralph: So what did you eat today?
*I took out my camera and showed him what I had today*
*I laughed so hard my stomach shook like a bowl full of jelly*
In fact, he is super happy when he sees me eat a lot because he thinks that I am thin. But, I am not THAT thin!
Ralph: Ok, find your height at the side and weight at the top or bottom and follow the grid lines to where the two cross, to see what category you fall into.
Underweight - you may need to put on some weight. If your weight is very low, please contact your GP for advice.
OK - Your weight is in the range that is considered the healthiest for your height - which means you are eating the right amount of food to balance out with the amount of exercise you do.
Overweight - Your weight is above the healthiest range for your height. If you are a serious athlete or body builder and know you have large muscles, this may be why you are in this category. For the rest of us, the reason for being over-weight is having too much fat on our body.
Fat or very fat - Your weight is well above the healthiest range for your height. You are actually in the range called obesity - a level in which you have an increased risk for developing heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis and high blood pressure. If your weight is very high, please contact your GP for advice or check out this online weight loss site. (Note - we don't really like saying 'fat', but the only chart we could find uses it.)
Ralph: So what category are you in?
OMG! I'm underweight?!!?!!?
Ralph: See? I told ya!

The old saying goes, "A Wedding is but a day, a Marriage is a lifetime." I know in preparation for marriage is definitely not easy. There will be little amount of stress initially. As the wedding day draw nears, more and more things come to mind which may end up tired and stressed out. For those of you who are married, I am sure you know the pre-wedding stress that I am talking about. The things that had to go over like choice of bridesmaid and groomsmen, flower girls, ring bearer, ceremony sites, bridal gowns, photography, invitations, wedding cake and what not could be daunting, tiring and boring sometimes. And here's just a partial list!
“The real act of marriage takes place in the heart, not in the ballroom or church or synagogue. It's a choice you make - not just on your wedding day, but over and over again - and that choice is reflected in the way you treat your husband or wife.” ~Barbara De Angelis.
Oh, wait! I am not getting married yet. I am not talking about my wedding here. Ha! Ralph's cousin sister is getting married by end of this year. She and her future spouse arrived here yesterday morning. They came all the way from Sarawak to do as thorough as possible research before starting their "wedding campaign". First thing first, go shopping! The only thing I could help is to bring them around and visit those bridal studios to search out the designer gown she has dreamt of all her life. However, it can also be a tough decision with so many styles and gowns to choose from. Finding "the one" is very much an individual experience because it will be the dress that makes you feel special and feel really excited about wearing it.
To me wedding photography preparation is also very important when photographing the biggest event of some one's life. Since money is not a problem for them, I suggest they do both photography and video photography. They agree and now they are going through some professional Video Production Services for this important event. Wish them luck!
Next, shop for
big stones wedding ring sets! Phew~

You know I love fun and super easy tags, right? ;-)

I know I am not alone in loving high heels. Be it high heel stilettos or high heel shoes, high heel sandals or wedge heel slippers - high heels are a must-have on the fashion list! They are pretty, they accentuate your body to look nice and I love the way they make me look, but I can't stand the way my feet ache at the end of the day! Are you aware of the health hazards of high heels? They can become an ergonomic nightmare, lead to blisters, corns and calluses especially when I go clubbing. But, it's definitely not okay to simply throw off my high heels and head barefoot onto the dance floor. This can be equally or more dangerous if I were to step on broken glass, or have someone else's spiked heel come down squarely on the top of my foot! *ouch*
However, there is a remedy for this common plight among women. As for shopping, nothing beats a pair of comfortable sandals! Sometimes it's hard to find one pair of unique sandals in wide widths; it seems like sandals manufacturers believe that wide width shoes must have extra-wide straps. But if you go to the online stores that specialize in wide width shoes, you'll have better luck finding sexy flat summer sandals that won't make you look like you're wearing bicycle tires on your feet. LOL! I am absolutely crazy about these unique Topshop sandals. They feature an incredibly sexy design and any of them would work wonders with a shorter skirt or dress. I'll keep my high heels just for some special occasions which do not require a lot of walking and standing.
Included are this season's hottest styles for everyone including everything from flat to stiletto heels, and casual flip-flops to dazzling evening sandals. They can perk up a neutral outfit with a pop of color (hot pink, turquoise, lime green), or complement a similarly hued look.
I'm wearing my 3 inch heels out tonight. That's the highest I can deal with!
And, I know someone is going say, "Watch your step! Watch your step!"
Kinabalu Park is the Malaysia's first "World Heritage" designated by UNESCO in December 2000 for its role as one of the world's most important biological sites.
The Kinabalu Park covers a staggering area of 754 square kilometers. Translated, it is bigger than Singapore Island!?
