I've been tagged by Mariuca with this We Are The World meme. It reminds me of the song which was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie in 1985, dedicated to the victims of the 1984 famine in Ethiopia. Rest in Peace and thank you, Michael Jackson!

I am inviting my friends/bloggers Ayie, Tekkaus, Bingkee, Maxi, Ori, Bluedreamer, Levian, Gagay, to have some fun and spread love around the world with this simple meme!

As soon as I heard the sad news, his entire career started flashing through my mind. He was the man who wanted to "heal the world, make it a better place. For you and for me and the entire human race..."

This is one of my favorite songs of Michael Jackson.

I've watched the movie last night and I loved it 100%! There's romance, humor, action and drama all at the same time. The comedy is what keeps Transformers 2 from turning into one colossal pileup of the monster trucks. The bangs, 'bots and bombast ensure Fallen has everything Transformers fans will want and expect.

It's bigger. Badder. Boobier...

The hotpants-clad Megan Fox.

There's a lamentable amount of flannel in the film, which needlessly runs close to 2 1/2 hours, but people who love bent metal, toys and noise will get all they crave!

***

I woke up very early this morning and it was shocking to see the "King of Pop", the biggest celebrity in the world had died at age 50!!!

It's indeed very sad news. The sky becomes a little dimmer as the passing of Michael Jackson is like a star being plucked from the sky.

Rest in Peace Michael Jackson.

Did you know that the City of Bangkok recently earned the award "Best City in Asia," for the seventh year in a row in the recent Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards? Known to the Thai's as Krung Thep, the City of Angels, Bangkok is one of the most exciting cities in the world (or at least that I have visited). If I'm thinking of having a vacation, I would definitely consider Bangkok, again.

I even planned an entire vacation if I were to actually vacation there. Let's take a look at my "vacation travel plan"!

1) Virtually all the food is good and cheap. But as this is Bangkok, obviously the seafood is great. I love Thai food. Some of the food is not spicy by Thai standards, but sometimes it nearly takes my head off! Well, I didn't try any of the insects though. I heard there is this restaurant called Cabbages and Condoms. Instead of after-dinner mints, diners get condoms! Profits from the restaurant go to the Population and Community Development Association which aims at educating people in the benefits of safe sex and birth control. Former Thai senator Mechai Viravaidya, believes "birth control should be as cheap as vegetables" - hence the restaurant's name! This is a particularly good place to try Thai food if you are not used to spicy food like me or fear the potential health risks that can come with Bangkok street food.

2) Bangkok is a shopping paradise for me, especially Chatuchak Weekend Market. Here I could buy anything and everything I want! This is probably the best place to go for your souvenir shopping. You will be dazzled by a bulk of almost all souvenirs that you can imagine. Almost anything can be bought here and at better prices than elsewhere in Bangkok. It is one of the world's largest weekend markets with more than 5,000 booths selling goods from all over Thailand. I remember I came across something I like, but I didn't buy it immediately. So, it was hardly possible for me to walk back and buy it after observing the whole sections of these markets. Dress comfortable as this excursion can last all day!

3) Thailand has built a reputation as a health destination with some of the best and most luxurious spas in the world. It is also abound with shops for foot massages, full body massages, manicures, pedicures, facials... Oh, I could get my hair washed and blow dried a couple times a week when I was there!

4) Bangkok is famous around the world for its entertainment and nightlife. Up close to those Transvestites (they're beautiful, friendly, and feminine), I felt my expectations are fulfilled and my eyes satisfied. The thing I'm going to elaborate is something called PingPong show at PatPong. Royal City Avenue (or RCA) is home to many high end discos and relaxed pubs, most of which feature live music. The strip of entertainment venues caters to high-end party goers. Hip-hop, house, techno, and live Thai music are the most common sounds emanating from this attraction. Must go!

5) The last time we went there was a few years ago and we stayed at Grand Hyatt Bangkok. But I would choose The Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square (a 4 star hotel) on my next trip.

The hotel has 429 rooms and is renowned as one of Bangkok's premier hotels. Siam Square - the city's most vibrant location, filled with cool nightlife, exciting dining venues, finest shopping, including the ultra modern Siam Paragon just steps away from the hotel! Oh, it is also just footsteps away from the city's central BTS Skytrain Station and within close proximity to the MRT subway. Don't you think this is the perfect destination for my holidays?

By the way, hotel rates in 27 cities across 10 countries in Asia Pacific are being reduced in Accor Hotels City Super Sale! Well, you will be able to take advantage of savings of up to 60% when you book on-line between 23 - 29 June, for stays between July 10 and September 30, 2009. Over 250,000 room nights will be on sale, with rates starting as low as US$25 per night.
Do check it out as this sale is for a limited time only!!!

See, how can I not love Bangkok?!

As I mentioned earlier, Ralph bought six books for me but I still haven't found the time to read them. He's the type of person who goes into a bookstore and walks out with a pile of stuff, even though he only intended to buy one book!

David Beckham: My Son by Ted Beckham.

This book is special not just because of Ted's role as the father of a hero, but because Ted has given exclusive access to all the family photo albums and the unparalleled collection of memorabilia he has amassed during David's career. The book features 300 exclusive images to complement the text, giving a side to David that has never been seen before. David Beckham: "My Son" will delight his fans, giving a fascinating insight into the early life of David, his ambition and determination to succeed as well as his father's pride and joy as he watched him grow into a great footballer.

Sightseeing by Rattawut Lapcharoensap.
The jewelled seas and sandy beached of Thailand are a dream destination for most of us, but for the characters in Sightseeing they are home. Rattawut Lapcharoensap's storytelling embraces the everyday in the exotic, to reveal a country that is dynamic and corrupt, full of pride, passion and fear. Sightseeing is an exploration of what it means to be a son, a brother, a parent, a lover, a Thai - and a disenfranchised resident of the global village.
Shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award.

Envy by Kathryn Harrison.
Will has a good sex life with the woman he married. So why then is he increasingly plagued by violent erotic fantasies that, were they to break out of his imagination and into the real world, have the power to destroy not only his family but his career? He's about to lose his grip when he attends a college reunion and there discovers evidence of a past sexual betrayal, one serious enough that it threatens to overpower the present, even as it offers a key to Will's dangerous obsessions.

Flashback by Val McDermid.
The nuns called her Eve when they found her lying unconscious in a Burgundy field. She had no possessions apart from a Tangier ferry ticket - not even her memory, though her accent suggests she is American. All the doctors could discover was that she once had a child.

Since then, Eve has led a tranquil life at the convent. Then one night, while she is away, a dozen camouflaged men make their way through the convent, murdering the sisters in cold blood, looking for 'the American'. With no idea what the intruders want, Eve flees on a desperate journey in search of her identity and her history. But the truth may be more terrible than she can imagine.

The half life of stars by Louise Wener.
Have you ever wished you could walk away from it all? Not for a day, not for a week, but for good.

Claire’s older brother Daniel has disappeared. He leaves work one Friday afternoon, shortly before Christmas, and vanishes into thin air. Married, successful, rich, there seems no reason why he would abandon his life. Has he been killed? Has he been kidnapped? Or has he just had enough?

Set between London and Miami, this is the story of a family with ghosts to bury. It opens on the day of the Challenger shuttle explosion at Cape Canaveral; a tragic moment that rips this family apart and sets Daniel’s disappearance in motion some 18 years later.

In the midst of it all sits Claire, who knows Daniel best. She becomes convinced that she knows where her older brother is and sets off on a journey to find him.

Fingerfood: Best-Ever Small Food Recipes.
Whether you are looking for quick snack or something to make your party go with a swing you'll find plenty of ideas in this attractive book. Every recipe is beautifully photographed to guide and inspire you. The recipes are written in a clear and concise style and each dish has been double-tested in our test kitchens to ensure success every time.

Well, I haven't started reading any of them yet *yawn* and I suppose it would take a very long time for me to finish any of these books. LOL!

So, what is the latest book you have read recently?

I can't stress enough how "accessories" make the outfit. They remain one of the most effective ways to accomplish a stylish appearance. Many of my girlfriends spend a lot for a nice pair of earrings. I have never had my ears pierced, not even my lobes. Seeing as I don't wear earrings, my jewelry box is home to my gold bangles, necklaces and nothing else. During my school years, my mom would buy me gifts for my birthday like gold bangle or gold necklace. If diamond is the hardest material on earth, then gold is the most precious metal. But the truth is I prefer white gold over yellow gold. My daily basics are all in white gold; necklace and my ring.

Necklaces vary in their worth and designs. To enhance their beauty and attractiveness, pendants are added. There are a lot of pendants to choose from. To this day, almost any woman would love to receive a piece of tiffany jewelry as a gift including me! Venerable New York jeweler Tiffany & Co. unveiled the latest creation of resident jeweler Paloma Picasso. Known the world over for her bold designs in highly polished metals and colorful gemstones, Picasso has now created a deceptively simple collection of necklaces called 20 Carats. Available in either sterling silver or 18 karat gold, the delicate looking 18 inch supple chains easily support gemstone pendants weighing 20 carats and available in a wide variety of gems: amethyst, citrine, yellow quartz, rock crystal, onyx, blue chalcedony, and more.

If you know somebody that was born in February, their birthstone is the amethyst. And these people are particularly lucky because amethyst is a varied and versatile stone. For one, it comes in many different shades of purple. This means that you can wear amethysts whether you prefer the light, almost translucent purple or the deep, rich purple. Amethysts are also easily faceted, so they make an ideal gem for rings, necklaces, and earrings.

Well, the fashion possibilities are endless!

Who is the one person who can always make me smile?
Even when I'm mad at him?
Even when he makes me cry?
Even when he makes fun of me or laughs at me?
He is one of the people who have always been there for me, one who has always loved, cared, and provided for me.
He is one of the two most important people in the world to me. Someone I LOVE with all my heart.
He is my friend, my hero, but most importantly he is my...

Daddy!!!!

I love you dad!

We have received a special invitation to attend a friend's baby shower party, now headache time wondering what gift to purchase for the baby. So we went to do some shopping today and we got to look at lots of cute baby stuff and soft toys.

However, we are looking for a practical and beautiful gift. There is nothing quite like seeing the parents-to-be's face as they open their baby shower presents. They are reminded of what it to come and that all this is for their baby! I stumbled upon this site called Baby Bedding Palace which features unique baby bedding from modern to classic styles that fit into any nursery decor. They are the only ethical manufacturer of Nursery Baby Bedding; all of their bedding is made from 100% high quality natural cotton materials and 100% hand made in Nepal. The best thing is, these materials will not irritate the baby's skin and will help the baby breathe easy at night.

Each of their sets comes with a full 12 matching pieces to completely decorate your nursery. Take a look at their Baby Bedding Sets themed for baby boys and baby girls!

Blue whale fish wave nursery baby crib bedding set.

Pink floral quilt nursery baby crib bedding set.

Designer lady bug nursery baby crib bedding set.

Wow... perfectly pretty isn't? It's a great baby shower gift too as it can be presented as a wonderful gift before the baby is born. The most important thing is, you get what you want and them get they want. Everyone's happy!
