Toasted Bruschetta. Homemade Tuscan bread topped with marinated tomatoes, pesto sauce and Parmesan cheese.

I really wanted to get Ralph a new watch, but finding the perfect watch for him is SO difficult! So I took him to the shopping mall, took him to City Chain and let him choose one he likes the most.

I used to have an active nightlife on the weekend, without fail! Nowadays, I don't go to clubs a whole lot anymore like before (go out by 10 pm every Saturday night and would stay out till the wee hours of the morning), but just on occasion here and there.

What a night, what a night!!!!

As I grew older, things changed, little by little that I hardly notice. I found myself sitting at home on a Saturday night or spent the day fattening myself up. However, that does not mean that my life is completely boring and I should just stay at home punching myself in the face. Once in a while, I enjoy a relaxed evening out with exquisite food and a wide selection of good wines to enhance my taste buds. A great meal can become a fantastic meal if you have the right wine to drink with it!

"Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life's most civilized pleasures."

I was told that Bajo Aragon wines are produced mostly from red and white Grenache, in most instances from centennial wines, with low yield but very high alcohol and tannins. Their Grenache whites are quite powerful, ideal for a fish casserole or a white meat dish. They are strong and full bodied; especially those which have been barrel fermented for a short period, creating an intense flavor of fruits with a very interesting border of oak.

The reds are rich, full of red berries and with long after taste. Excellent with casseroles, stews and all types of red meats. Ventus's wild berry and cinnamon aroma make it a delightful wine for everyday enjoyment!

"What is the definition of a good wine? It should start and end with a smile."

There are a million reasons that would put a big smile on my face.

Here's one of them!

Monica is the author of Turn-u-Off which is a personal blog that talks about her life in general. She'll also blog about fashionable women's attire and products, too. She has been on Blogger since August of 2007, and currently resides in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Site Design and Layout

The header is cute which definitely fits the theme of a girl/woman's blog. The ads as well as other widgets on the page are nicely organized including the archived posts and links to other blogs. The white background makes the blog easier to read the content from. She's also one of the bloggers that uses emoticons on her entries which I've always found that it can give you a great idea for what she's feeling while typing out entries.

Navigation

All of her widgets are organized on the right side of the page where it is easy to find what you are looking for. She has links to those who comment on her site as well as recognition and appreciation for those who drop her a line the most. I like that she separates the comment and blog roll lists from the advertisements on her site.

Content

Although most of her blog entries are about her personal life, she has a way to make her readers relate to what she's posting about. Emoticons are often used as a way to relate to her, and she does very much post about girlish things, too. Inside the entries, she'll link to those who comment first on her blog, and she has a LinkWithIn widget to related posts, too.

Intangibles

Despite it being a blog geared towards girls and women, she does make herself very approachable to anyone. She very much appreciates your comments and visits, and will reward you for posting on her site often. You can follow her on Twitter as well as drop her an email as ways to contact her. And if you have an Entrecard account, she'll show her appreciation if you drop her EC a lot. She will visit your blog(if you have one) if you stop by, too.

Overall

The title couldn't be further from the truth with Monica. She'll frequently post very cute pictures of herself to go along with her talking about everyday experiences. The site is organized well and loads okay, too. She's an affectionate, friendly blogger to everyone. You can become friends with Monica, and then you'll see clearly that she won't turn-u-off!

Many thanks to World Blogging Entertainment (WBE) for reviewing Turn-u-Off!

Thanks to David. And thanks to the commenters (LJ, Maxi, Lainy) for sharing their comments here. Thanks for being kind to me. Smiley

I hope I can keep writing stuff that interest you guys and I'll try to push myself to do a little more than I think I can. *thinking hard until my brain is about to explode*

After I got my hair done, we went shopping!

Oh, have you seen Malaysia's latest icon, the newly unveiled Pavilion Crystal Fountain?

#1 The Pavilion Crystal Fountain is the Tallest Liuli Crystal Fountain in Malaysia endorsed by The Malaysia Book of Records!

#2 It features the Bloom of Hibiscus, Malaysia's national flower, which is described as a symbol of opulence, passion and progression.

#3 The three bowls represent Malaysia's multiracial culture living harmoniously in unity and ascending to signify the growing aspirations of the people. This crystal glass fountain bestows luminous wealth upon the city and the nation, and the water converging from all directions represents endless blessings and prosperity.

"Three coins in a fountain
Each one seeking happiness
Thrown by three hopeful lovers
Which one will the fountain bless..." Smiley

#4 I was busy camwhoring and I forgot to toss a coin into the fountain and whisper my hopes and dreams. Smiley

#5 And there Santa Clause is with his sleigh and reindeer, flying into the night lit up by little lights.

Do you know the reasons why a Christmas tree is better than a woman? ***

How can you not be in Christmas mood with decorations like this?! Smiley

*** The good-humored reasons are as follows:

  • A Christmas tree doesn't get jealous with other Christmas trees.
  • A Christmas tree doesn't care if there is another artificial one in the closet.
  • A weary Christmas tree can be thrown out.

Lame joke, I know.
