"Do you know any nice Mexican restaurants in PJ?" I asked on Twitter the other day and my tweet peeps - @finalkt3, @jenkinyat, and @kukujiao suggested Frontera, which serves authentic Mexican & Tex-Mex cuisine!
#1 Frontero Sol of Mexico; previously known as Frontera Bar & Grill.
Oh, and My BFF Mariuca suggested Las Carretas, another nice Mexican restaurant but it is not around PJ area. Therefore, we chose Frontera instead. Anyway, go check out her yummy post too.
As promised earlier, here are the Tex-Mex dishes that we had! The waitress who took our order recommended all these dishes.

#3 Chips and Salsa (RM 8.95). A basket of warm tortilla chips accompanied with their homemade salsa.
#4 Country Fried Steak (RM 24.95). Texas-style country fried steak served with homemade cream gravy, potatoes, jalapeno coleslaw and homemade flour tortilla.
#5 Sizzling Fajita Platters (RM 31.95). Mesquite grilled chicken served with shredded cheese, sour cream, Pico De Gallo and homemade flour tortillas.
#6 Chicken Enchiladas (RM 28.95) served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Shredded chicken and sour cream enchiladas topped with their Poblano sauce and Monterrey Jack Cheese.
#7 Frontera Chimichanga (RM 23.95) served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Deep fried homemade flour tortilla filled with shredded chicken, refried beans and cheese. Topped with chile con queso and diced tomatoes.
#8 Habanero Hot Wings (RM 16.95) comes in a choice of Mild, Hot or Super Hot.
#9 Oh, there's live music on Saturday nights, too!
We really had a good time trying the delicious and well-presented food in decent portions! To me, Mexican food on it's own can be bold, colorful and bursting full of flavor, but Tex-Mex has done it's best to make it a unique cuisine, with only a few of the roots left intact in many of it's dishes.
The entire bill including drinks came to RM 222++.
We didn't order dessert, as there were two lovely birthday cakes that night.
Happy Birthday...... to the "Chexican man"!
