As a fan of romantic comedies and Jennifer Lopez, I loved this movie! Like most of her movies, this one falls in the romantic comedy category, which proves, yet again, to be her forte.
She plays Zoe, a successful pet store owner who is well aware that her biological clock is ticking loud and fast, but she just cannot find the type of guy she would want to settle down and start a family with. Eventually, she makes the decision to become a single mother and decides to implement her "Back-up Plan" which involves being artificially inseminated with sperm from an anonymous donor with the help of a doctor.
The very same day that Zoe follows through on her plan, however, she meets Stan (Alex O'Loughlin), the man of her dreams. Trying to nurture a budding relationship and hide the early signs of pregnancy becomes a comedy of errors for Zoe and creates confusing signals for Stan. Zoe decides to spill the beans and much to her surprise, Stan responds enthusiastically, announcing that he is in it for the long haul.
Over the course of the next nine months, Zoe and Stan enter into a whirlwind romance. Never before has love seen a courtship where a wild night of sex involves three in a bed - Stan, Zoe and the ever - present massive pregnancy pillow.
Well, The Back-up Plan shows that love may not always go according to plan. Okay, it never does, but it is worth the ride, however the heart ultimately gets there.
Recently, People magazine crowned Jennifer Lopez the most beautiful woman on the planet in 2011! Really, how many 41-year-olds can claim to be the most beautiful woman in their block, let alone the planet?
She is just a little too darn perfect, isn't she? Also, Jennifer Lopez has released a new album called Love?, a collection of songs on CD that she said was inspired by her motherly duties as well as "her personal experiences with love". The combination of RnB, pop and hip-hop on her album fuses perfectly to create a great mix of club tracks and slower mid-tempo tunes, which I thoroughly enjoy!
