The Enchanting Tioman Island

I'm back from Tioman, the largest island on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, which is located in the South China Sea!

It's hard to describe just how awesome this island is - blessed with sparkling blue waters, beaches of fine white sand and prolific coral gardens fringing the coast, three days on the beach was just not enough. Noted for crystal clear water as far down as 33 meters, you can clearly see the coral reefs and tropical fishes under the water!

Oh, did you know that back in the '70s, Time magazine selected Tioman as one of the most beautiful islands in the world?

According to legend, Tioman was a resting place for a magical dragon princess. It was said that on her way from China to visit her prince in Temasek (Singapore), this beautiful maiden stopped by at Tioman Island to seek solace. She however, immediately fell in love with the charms and beauty of this alluring island and decided to forsake her happiness by discontinuing her journey. Instead, she vowed to spend the rest of her days giving pleasures and comfort to weary travelers.
