Nowadays, Taiwanese-style drink and dessert shops are mushrooming everywhere! And, here's our latest discovery – UFO, which specializing in serving delightful Taiwanese desserts in SS2.
"Hmmm... where is the UFO?"
Unlike the always-crowded Snowflake, it was empty, only one or two other tables occupied outside.
After looking at the menu, we opted for their signature desserts the UFO Classic and Matcha Special.
Sandakan's Famous UFO Tarts
I've been to Sandakan many times, but I've never heard of UFO tarts before!
The "Beeping UFO"
UFO Classic - Grass Jelly Ice + Grass Jelly + QQ Balls + Creamer
Grass jelly is also known as "chin-chow" or immortal grass. It's not only refreshing but also supposedly helps cool the body and aids digestion too.
Matcha Special
Ralph chose QQ Balls, Aloe Vera, Yogurt Popping Balls and Matcha Ice as its base.
The combination of the three was an extraordinary, unexpected refreshing treat. An absolute must try is the yogurt popping balls, tiny exploding pearls filled with bursts of sweet-sour yogurt!
With that cooling sensation mixed with your favorite toppings, who wouldn't like it?

Another Snowflake copycat! I passed by this outlet in SS2 but never went in! No people, so don't dare go in! Haha!
Was wondering why it's called UFO! At first thought because it copied the UFO beeper that Snowflake have. But now only I noticed it's the UFO tart from Sandakan! :-D
Oh! So you have not heard of Sandakan's UFO tarts? Looks like it's not as famous as they claimed! Haha!
So did you try that UFO tart? :)
