As much as I had heard about the restaurant, which situated next to a lake and passed by this place many times, I didn't know that the restaurant was actually located at Plaza Kelana Jaya. In fact, I had never heard of this plaza before.

I'm not sure why it took so long, but I'm glad we finally came here a few months ago (January, to be exact!). Oh, and their Christmas decorations were still up.

Well, the restaurant definitely has a laid-back country and rustic feel to it. We dined alfresco in the dining area overlooking the lake. The atmosphere was cozy-romantic with dim lighting.

The staff were friendly, the service was great and we did not wait for long before the food arrived – could be because of the lack of patrons!?

Secrets of Louisiana serves Cajun-style food. We had a party of 5 for dinner, and we all enjoyed our flavorful dishes.

I had Gulf Shrimps & Crawfish Bisque (RM19.90) as an appetizer. It was tasty, with little shrimps and crawfish.

Louisiana's Fish & Chips (RM28.90)

Original American Cheese Burger (RM26.90)

Philly Cheese Steak (RM26.90)

My favorite dish was the Poached Salmon & Mango Salsa (RM39.90)!

Cajun Chicken Cordon Bleu (RM29.90)

For dessert (despite a bulging tummy), I decided to try the Louisiana's Mud Pie (RM16.90). A piece of rich hot chocolate cake topped with chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream - OMG! I went into a sugar/chocolate coma... haha oh so good!

The total bill (including beverages and a glass of beer) came to around RM250 if I'm not mistaken, and we left with the "When are we coming back?" feeling.
