After an hour on the road from the Theme Park, we reached our final destination - Taipei, where we spent the next 2 nights.
Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. It started drizzling soon after we stopped by the Grand Hotel, a gigantic replica of an ancient Chinese palace perched on a hillside. At first glance, I thought "Oh no, not another temple, please!" *lolol*
The "I've been to Taiwan" photo stop
The wife of President Chiang Kai-Shek built this hotel in the 1950s and it was named as one of the world's top ten hotels by the US Fortune magazine in 1968.
The Chinese gate at the entrance of the hotel compounds.
Worried about my camera getting wet, I simply and quickly took a few pictures from a distance and then hopped back into the coach before the rain started pouring down. We didn't get to see as much, but there's always next time, eh?
Happy (not so) Wordless Wednesday!
